What does an Aboriginal support coordinator actually do?

An Aboriginal support coordinator helps you understand and use your NDIS plan. Day-to-day, that means finding and connecting you with the right supports (support workers, allied health, community programs), helping you navigate the NDIS system and any plan reviews, and making sure your funding is used well. An Aboriginal coordinator brings cultural knowledge into that process — understanding community obligations, family roles, and the kinds of supports that actually feel safe and appropriate for Aboriginal participants.

Can I get both support work and support coordination from Tegrity?

Yes. Tegrity provides both support work (hands-on daily support) and support coordination from the same Aboriginal-owned organisation. Having both services with one provider means your coordinator already knows your workers, your preferences and your routine — which makes plan reviews and service adjustments much simpler. There is no requirement to use both; you can start with one and add the other later.

Aboriginal support coordination does all of that — and does it through a coordinator who already understands how culture, kinship and community shape your life.
