Support workers for
autistic adults.

NDIS support work in Sydney's inner west and eastern suburbs — consistent, sensory-aware, and entirely on your terms. You choose how you're supported: the same named worker every time, a roster you can see a fortnight ahead, and you meet your worker before anything starts.

Acknowledged the same business day. No revolving strangers — the same people, consistently.

What support work covers

What support can look like for an autistic adult

Most autism support content is aimed at children or families. This page is for you — an autistic adult who wants support that fits how you actually live. Support workers help with the practical and social sides of daily life, not therapy or clinical services. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Daily life

Routine and structure at home

Help with daily tasks, routines, and keeping things running — your way, at your pace. No pressure to do it differently to how you need it done. Predictability matters, and we build support around that.

Out & about

Getting out & community access

Getting out on your own terms — appointments, errands, hobbies, or just somewhere you want to go. A familiar worker who already knows how you prefer to travel and what environments work for you. More on community participation →

Independence

Building independence, your way

Whether that means managing admin, navigating appointments, cooking, budgeting, or catching public transport — we work alongside you at the pace that suits you, not a pace someone else has decided on.

Social connection

Low-pressure social connection

Social connection without the mask. Our Wednesday group runs weekly and is designed to be low-key — come along, see how it feels. No obligation to perform or engage in a particular way.

Admin & appointments

Navigating appointments & services

Support to attend and manage appointments, deal with paperwork, and navigate systems that were not designed with autistic people in mind. Your worker can help you prepare, accompany you, or debrief afterwards — whatever works.

Sensory & predictability

Sensory-aware support

Your worker gets to know your sensory preferences and energy patterns. No surprises, no sudden changes without notice. If something isn't working, you can say so and we adjust — without it being a thing.

Why consistency matters

The same people — not a different stranger each week

Predictability and trust are not nice-to-haves. For many autistic adults, unpredictable support isn't just frustrating — it makes the support itself harder to use. We built Tegrity to fix that.

Named workersYou're matched with a small, consistent team — the same people each shift, not whoever happens to be available.
Meet before you startYou meet your worker before supports begin. If the fit isn't right, say so and we rematch — no awkward conversations.
Roster a fortnight aheadYour schedule is visible two weeks in advance. No last-minute surprises about who's coming or when.
No silent no-showsIf a shift has to change, you hear from us first with an alternative offered — never left waiting at the door.
You drive the supportHow you want to be supported is your call. There's no single "right" way — we adapt to you, not the other way around.

Late diagnosis welcome

Whether you've known you're autistic for years or you received a diagnosis recently, we work with where you are now. Late-diagnosed adults often come with a lot of self-knowledge about what works and what doesn't — we start there.

Your questions, answered

Autism support for adults — common questions

Do you support autistic adults — not just children?

Yes — that's specifically who this page is about. Most autism support content is aimed at children or families, but Tegrity works with autistic adults (including late-diagnosed adults) who want NDIS support workers that understand their needs: predictability, consistency, sensory awareness, and support on their own terms.

Can I have the same support worker every time?

Yes. Consistency matters — we know that. You're matched with a small, named team you meet before supports start. Your roster is visible a fortnight ahead. If a worker isn't the right fit, we rematch you without fuss. No strangers each week.

What can a support worker help an autistic adult with?

Support workers help with the practical and social sides of daily life: routines and home tasks, getting out into the community, attending appointments or managing admin, building independence skills at your own pace, and social connection — including our low-pressure Wednesday group. Support workers are not therapists or clinicians; they provide hands-on, day-to-day support tailored to your goals and funded from your NDIS Core budget.

Do you support late-diagnosed autistic adults?

Yes. Whether you've been autistic your whole life or received a diagnosis more recently, we work with where you are now. Late-diagnosed adults often come with their own understanding of what works for them — we listen to that and build support around it.

Which areas of Sydney do you cover?

We provide support work across Sydney, with a focus on the Inner West, City of Sydney, and Eastern Suburbs — including suburbs like Newtown, Marrickville, Redfern, Surry Hills, Glebe, Leichhardt, Randwick, Bondi, and Paddington. Not sure about your area? Call (02) 7265 1558 and we'll confirm straight away.
