What support work covers

What a support worker can help with

Support work is hands-on, practical, day-to-day assistance — not therapy, not clinical care. It's the kind of help that makes daily life easier, keeps you connected to your community, and works alongside whatever else is in your plan.

Daily life

Personal care & daily living

Help with morning and evening routines, personal care, getting dressed, preparing meals and the everyday tasks that keep life moving — done your way, at your pace.

At home

Help around the home

Practical assistance with household tasks — tidying, laundry, groceries — so that energy goes where it matters most to you, not on the things that can be shared.

Out & about

Community access & getting out

Support to get out and stay connected — appointments, errands, hobbies, social outings and our Wednesday social group. More on community participation →

Getting there

Support to appointments

Help getting to and from appointments — transport support, assistance on the day, and being there so you're not going alone.

Flexible support

Fatigue-aware & adaptable

We know MS doesn't follow a fixed schedule. Support can be structured to do more on days when you need it and step back when things are going well — the same worker, adapted to where you're at.

Connection

Social connection & Wednesday group

Staying socially connected matters. Your support worker can assist with social outings, and we run a Wednesday rec group where participants get out together each week.

Why it matters for MS

Consistent workers. Flexible support.

For a condition that can change day to day, the people delivering your support matter as much as the support itself.

Same faces, every timeYour workers know your preferences, your home and your routines — so you're not re-explaining yourself each visit or every time your needs shift.
Support that flexesWe work with you to build a roster that can adapt — more support on days when things are harder, lighter when you've got it covered. The structure moves with you.
You meet your worker firstBefore supports start, you meet your worker. No stranger turning up for the first shift — you already know each other.
Roster visible in advanceYour roster is planned and visible a full fortnight ahead. Your week is never a surprise, and changes are communicated early.
No silent no-showsIf a shift needs to change, you hear from us first with a replacement offered — not left waiting and wondering.
The right fit, or we rematchIf your worker isn't the right fit, say so and we find you someone better — no awkward conversations, no dead ends.

Common questions

MS support — your questions

Do you support adults living with multiple sclerosis?

Yes. Tegrity's support workers assist adults living with MS across Sydney's Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. We focus on practical, day-to-day support — personal care, daily living, help around the home, community access and getting out — delivered by consistent named workers who meet you before anything begins.

What can a support worker help with for someone with MS?

A support worker can help with personal care and morning or evening routines, tasks around the home, getting out into the community, attending appointments, social outings and connecting with others. Support is practical and hands-on — not therapy, clinical care or medical treatment. We work alongside whatever clinical team you have in place.

Can support flex on harder days?

Yes. We know that MS can mean some days are much easier than others. We work with you to build a roster that has room to flex — more support when you need it, lighter on better days. Your consistent workers already know you, so there's no need to re-explain each time things change.

Which Sydney areas do you cover?

We deliver support across Sydney, with a focus on the Inner West, the City and the Eastern Suburbs — including suburbs like Newtown, Marrickville, Redfern, Surry Hills, Randwick, Bondi, Coogee and surrounding areas.

Is Tegrity a registered NDIS provider?

Yes. Tegrity Services is an NDIS registered provider (registration number 4050099017), registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Support work for adults with MS can be funded from the Core — Assistance with Daily Life budget in your NDIS plan.
