What NDIS community access looks like
There is no one correct activity. The point is that you choose what you want to do and have the right support to do it. That might be a regular coffee catch-up, learning a bus route, going to the gym, visiting a gallery, joining a club or getting to know a new part of Sydney.
It is about choice, not a fixed programme
Some people want a predictable weekly outing. Others want help with a specific goal, such as attending a local activity for the first time or rebuilding a social routine after a difficult period. We start with what you enjoy, what feels manageable and what matters in your life.
Tegrity delivers community participation support across Sydney, with one-to-one support and group options. The aim is not to fill a timetable; it is to make it easier to take part in your own community with familiar people beside you.
Can it be funded by the NDIS?
Community access is commonly discussed as social and community participation. Whether an activity can be funded depends on your individual plan, goals and funding arrangement. Your plan manager, Local Area Coordinator or support coordinator can help you understand your options before anything is booked.
Getting started
- Tell us what you would like to do more of, or what is getting in the way.
- Meet a worker and agree on an easy first step.
- Choose one-to-one support, a group outing, or a mix of both.
- Keep adjusting the plan around what is working for you.
